You may be surprised that the position is in the endgame already at noon. But, actually, there were several precedents until △S*69. And Habu played a new move with ▲G78-68 against △S*69. I guess he prepared for this move in advance.
It's a complicated game. I'm expecting high level moves will go on from here.
The computer ( Bonanza) evaluates the position as better for Gote, but again Sente won in this variation. What is the role of computers in the preperation for shogi games at the highest level? Is there any examples of a computer move improving on known josekis eg.? Keep up the good work, very interesting material to read.
返信削除Like you said, the latest software in my computer pointed out that gote is slightly better. I guess challenger Toyoshima knew the evaluation until Habu played the new move. He usually use the computer for analysis.
削除I often find other lines in joseki by using computers. Joseki is not always perfect especially old joseki.
